ISMS SERVER - SECURITY
|
|
The main security evolves around the sender's telephone number. During system
set-up of the modems (reception numbers) can be set-up to have either security
features enabled or disabled.
Security Filter ON
When this is enabled, you must define the telephone number of the users in the system.
Only those whose telephone number that has been defined in the system will have the
ability to use the functions available to that modem number, but not to other numbers.
This gives the possibility to make a very fine-grained security system without the
entry of user ID's or passwords since the objective is to keep the number of
non-essential words to a minimum.
Security Filter OFF
Many times there is a good reason to keep a number open to all senders.
For example in customer related applications or other situations where
you do not know the users phone number you may not want to block the entry.
